Mercedes LeBlanc is “Le Decorant”

I started baking and decorating as a hobby that I loved and enjoyed for many years, and now turned into this business. As I obtained better tools and learned more techniques, I decided to take courses and become professional. The first step was to convert our house garage to a fully equipped and certified commercial kitchen.

I established “Le Decorant” and graduated from the Baking Arts program at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.

We are fully certified and insured, producing baked goods with fresh ingredients of the highest quality. They are not only beautiful, but delicious.

FAQS

  • Appointments for wedding cake consultations are weekdays after 5:00 pm, or weekends during the afternoon, as available. Call to arrange with me.

  • My cakes start at $150 for birthdays and special occasions and start at $300 for weddings. The price is determined by the number of servings and the level of decorations. We can work with your budget and special requests. You are getting a unique and handcrafted cake with the best ingredients and skill.

    This price does not include the payment processing fee if your pay with PayPal, Venmo, or Squarespace (Store). There is no fee if you pay by check or cash.

  • For birthdays and special occasions, two weeks ahead for a simple cake, and at least three weeks for elaborate ones. For weddings, as soon as you know the date. Wedding cakes require special preparations, and they fill up early. I can take a rush order only if my calendar is open. Call and ask.

  • These are simple, so one week at least.

  • For wedding cakes, we will deliver and set the cake. For all other cakes, you pick them up, or we can deliver it for a fee if the total order is more than $300 and it is within our service area.

    We deliver between Danville and Lock Haven and between Lewisburg and Trout Run.

  • Yes, we offer three servings of cake and fillings of the most common flavors for you and your fiancée. You can request a special flavor you prefer. We can do the initial consultation during this visit. This sampling costs $30.

  • No, we don’t. We guarantee you will love the flavors you choose.

  • We can use gluten-free ingredients as a diet choice (like Keto), but we regularly use wheat and nuts in our kitchen. You should not risk it if you are anaphylactic or have a severe allergy.

  • It’s not easy to tell. A cupcake is half the size of a traditional cake serving. Be aware that usually people will pick more than one cupcake from a table, so you should plan for at least two cupcakes per guest. On the other hand, some venues will charge you for cutting and serving the cake. You must consider both situations. We will help you evaluate your choice.

  • Yes, sure. We will provide a guide for how to save the cake, and a box for it.

  • I request 50% to save the date, and that is nonrefundable.

  • Yes, we do. We have a variety of cake and cupcake stands that will fit your style and the cake size. You can see some of them in the pictures.
