This is the front side of a tall cake decorated with piped wildflowers. This decoration matched the flower arrangements on all tables. Wildflowers are so small and delicate that would not survive on a cake, so the piped flowers looked more vibrant.
This is the back side of the cake. It is such a happy and fresh idea for a lovely young couple. The venue was at The Pajama Factory, a cool place with a Steampunk vibe that attracts a diverse group of resident artists. They also have apartments to accommodate the couples. What an exciting weekend!
My favorite flower is the orchid, with its simple shape and exotic stories. Perfect choice for this cake decorated with Swiss Buttercream.
The green Succulents represent the groom, strong in the center, and the white Roses surround him as the bride, in a lovely dance of shapes and sweet dreams. Flowers are handmade in gum paste and cupcakes have fancy piping techniques.
What a fresh idea, and what better way to start a new adventure together! The Stitch and Angel figures were shaped in fondant and pop out with lots of good vibes. The ones in the flat sheet cake were edible-ink printed.

We love our pets! These "kids" have their own personalities, and they love us back without reservations. This couple wanted their five doggies to be part of the ceremony! So, I worked from pictures they provided, made silicone molds of plastic figurines I bought, from which I produced a figurine in fondant and painted them according to the pictures. That was fun! The two roses are gum paste, and the cake is draped in fondant. The black dog chewing on the cake was their idea!
Three pairs of sugar roses punctuate this classic white buttercream. I enjoy making roses and trying to recreate their natural loveliness. The roses, leaves, and baby's breath are all handmade in gum paste. In the end, they remain as a souvenir from the wedding and will keep well in a cool dry environment.
White buttercream with a splash of lavender, and punctuated with silver flakes, make the canvas for Natural Flowers. I work directly with the florists to get a nice bouquet and prepare the flowers. They need the stems wrapped and cannot "touch" the cake! They also lose freshness quickly. Some flowers are poisonous and not acceptable, so if you want real flowers, find a list of the good ones and work with that. They will not make the decorations less expensive for you, or easier for me! Below is the cake at the venue, the Watsontown Inn, with a cupcake tower besides it.
This was a very simple and elegant wedding cake. Buttercream frosting and sugar roses. It reminds me of the Japanese art of flower arranging called Ikebana.
This was a wedding in October with an Autumn theme. The style is a "Naked Cake" and all the decorations are gum paste sugar. You can see the front and back on these two pictures.

This 60th wedding anniversary cake was a very special request. The children of this couple had a very specific nostalgic idea of what they wanted, recreating a memory. I made the bouquet in gum paste and decorated the cake with, what else, lots of diamonds! The venue was at Eagles Mere Country Club. Lucky couple! Lucky children!
This is another example of Natural Flowers and eucalyptus leaves. The hexagonal shape of the cake, frosted in simple buttercream, makes a distinct and memorable impression. Working with a good florist ensured that the flowers matched all the other flowers decorating the venue. The venue was Farrington Place, and they are easy to work with.
Another example of a grand cake at Farrington Place. This one has some of the most elaborate flowers and decorations I have made.
The topper is a fully open rose, while the others are classic white roses. The filler garlands are small Stephanotis flowers.
Again, at Farrington Place, this couple was very much into music and the color Teal. I am very careful to recreate the colors that the customer requests and match the theme and decor of the event.
The wedding cake will be part of the memories of one of the most important days of a couple, and I want to honor their wishes.
This wedding marked a new beginning in the life of this couple. And off they go in their shared adventure! The frosting is Swiss buttercream with pearl accents, two gum paste roses on the top, a large fondant bow on the base, and the couple!
I sculpted the smiling figures, the Vespa, and the flowers. That was a lovely project for a lovely couple! The venue was the grand and elegant Genetti Hotel. You can see the cake way back on the right-hand side of the wedding table.
This is the largest wedding cake I have made so far. Five tiers in three cake flavors, with a grand splash in blue and gold flakes, and six large gum paste flowers. We had to bring it in two parts, and finish decorating it at the venue. What an adventure!
The flowers were two open Peonies, three white roses, and one David Austin Rose in peach. We also provided a rustic wooden base for the cake that matched the decor of the venue. The venue was The Sacred Oak Vista, and they have one large oak tree in front of the terrace. Very appropriate!
This was made for a Wedding Expo, to showcase some of my techniques and skills. One young lady liked it so much that she ordered one in real cake for her bridal shower. The following two pictures of The Floating Bride are the ones I made with real cake inside. Everything outside, even the veil, is sugar!
I have made two of these Cupcake Diamond Rings so far, both for bridal showers. My cupcakes are larger than the standard cupcakes, to give you a generous portion of cake, and the frosting is light and not too sweet, just the right complement for the cake.
This was a very special request. The families arranged a large party for both of them and the couple (R & T) entered the party as boyfriend and girlfriend. The boy kneeled and proposed in front of the party. She said yes. They turned the cake around and announced they were engaged! I wonder what could have happened if she said no?
The figures and red heart with the R & T were cut from rice paper with a Cricut machine and placed over fondant. The tree was particularly challenging to cut twice and overlap it to get the pink shadow effect.
This is the cake for the same couple (R & T) who got engaged above. How nice to be able to make both cakes! Now I'm waiting for the children's birthday cakes! This is one of the few times I have used silk flowers and leaves.
This is an example of natural roses and leaves over a frosting style called "naked cake". The wedding was outside under a large tent, at the top of a hill with a large grass expanse, so the cake and the cupcakes below matched the ambience very well.
